Education
My university qualification is focused on business administration (Università di Torino, SAA - Scuola di Amministrazione Aziendale – University of Turin, School of Management). My academic thesis on International Marketing (1975) was tutored by Marisa Gerbi Sethi on the topic of "Facilities for International Trade – the case of Fiera del Levante in Bari". In the same year I specialized in Marketing at the Marketing Department of SAA, directed by Prof. Giancarlo Ravazzi with Prof. Giampaolo Fabris and Dr Carlo Patrucco.
In 1976 I attended “Logica e Dinamica dell’Attività Organizzata”, a 2-month specialization course in management held by ISGO (Milan) and Formez, the Rome-based Italian Board for High Education and Studies.
In 1986 I won the entry selection and attended “Corso di Specializzazione per Consulenti di Direzione Aziendale”, the first specialization course for business consultants promoted by Formez, the Italian Board for High Education and Studies, gaining a profit certificate after the 8-month training period.
In 1993 I was invited by JETRO (Japan External TRade Organization), the Japanese state agency for international trade, to take part in EJSP 13, their international study program aimed at identifying the rising opportunities of the Japanese market. During the programme I took part in seminars and meetings with distinguished representatives of the Japanese market. I visited several companies in Tokyo and Osaka, in the fields of large-scale retail trade and electronics.
I was invited (1998) to take part in HRTP-22, a 3-month international project on the Japanese business practice, jointly organised by the European Commission and the Japanese Government. To this purpose I relocated to Japan for 3 months, taking part - on a daily basis - in seminars on Japanese industrial economy and visiting manufacturing companies in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Kumamoto.
In order to learn more about tourism management skills and tourism-related training techniques, I attended (2011) a study visit focused on the school-based training system in the tourist region of Tyrol, organized by the Landesschulrat für Tirol (Innsbruck, Austria), and funded by the European Commission.
